ABOUT CANNINGTON 

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.

Flights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp—the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on an 8:6 roster, Thursday to Thursday, FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

As the Supervisor Electrical, you will be responsible for leading an electrical maintenance crew to deliver planned and reactive work safely, meet reliability targets, uphold statutory compliance, and drive performance through effective leadership, planning, and risk management.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Execute shift schedule in line with weekly plan and site priorities
• Conduct supervisor handovers and communicate risks, changes and actions
• Review outcomes against targets and escalate unresolved issues
• Maintain SAP workflow accuracy to support safe, compliant operations

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Demonstrated supervisory experience in underground mining or processing environments
• Leading teams to achieve safety, reliability and performance outcomes
• Communicating clearly across multiple levels and disciplines
• Problem solving under pressure and balancing competing priorities
• Driving accountability, discipline and continuous improvement

Qualifications for this position are: 

• Electrical trade qualification
• Current electrical licence; Electrical Mechanic or Electrical Fitter Mechanic
• Mining Supervisor (G1, G8, G9) qualification, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement
• Current Drivers Licence
