ABOUT CANNINGTON
Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.
Flights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp—the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 7:7 roster, FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.
As the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, you will supervise and support the mobile maintenance teams to ensure safe, cost-effective and efficient delivery of the maintenance plan. You will be responsible for maintaining the haulage truck and loader fleet, as well as the light vehicle fleet.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Direct a crew of tradespeople and apprentices across daily workshop tasks
- Oversee performance, leave and discipline processes to support team operations
- Provide technical guidance, drive cultural improvement and model safety values
- Implement cost-saving ideas and promote continuous improvement across team
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Leading maintenance teams in a mining environment with a strong safety focus
- Applying preventative maintenance principles to mobile mining fleets
- Strong background with CAT equipment
- Influencing, mentoring and developing a diverse and engaged workforce
- Managing performance and fostering a culture of accountability and support
Qualifications for this position are:
- Recognised trade qualification in Automotive, Heavy Vehicle or Auto Electrical
- C Class Manual Driver’s Licence
- S1, S2, S3 supervisory qualifications (desirable)
- High Risk Licences – Dogging, Overhead Crane, Forklift (desirable)
