ABOUT CANNINGTON
Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a permanent position on a 4:3 roster with the occasional requirement to extend this to an 8:6 roster to undertake Duty Manager responsibilities, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville direct to the onsite airport.
As the Manager Engineering, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure the Engineering Function delivers consistent, compliant and efficient technical support to operational teams.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Governing engineering change control and technical documentation processes.
- Managing the pipeline & safe execution of small projects and modifications.
- Aligning engineering support with HSEC, volume and cost targets.
- Supporting long-term planning through strategic input and performance tracking.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Leadership and management capabilities with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Significant mining industry experience in operations, engineering, asset management, and design/drafting.
- Capital project management experience
- Navigating complex regulatory, governance and safety frameworks.
- Driving high performance through strategic planning and operational discipline.
- Applying practical knowledge in asset management, risk control & continuous improvement.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Degree qualification in relevant engineering discipline.
