ABOUT CANNINGTON  

 

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.

 

Flights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp—the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

 

We have multiple permanent Development Service Crew roles working on a 7:7 roster, 12.5hrs Dayshift/Nightshift, FIFO from Townsville/Brisbane/Cairns or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

 

Seeking highly motivated and experienced Development Service Crew operators to join our team. The ideal candidates will have expertise in the safe operation of Integrated Tool Carriers and experience with the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground services, including ventilation bags, electrical cables, and submersible pumps. Responsibilities also include assisting with the construction of ventilation walls, conducting gas testing, cable tensioning, and performing specific tasks using hand tools.

 

 

ABOUT YOU

 

  • 18 months of underground experience is essential
  • Current C class driver licence (Manual)
  • Must have the right to work in Australia.
  • Motivated to learn and develop new skills
  • A commitment to a positive safety culture

 

 

Qualifications for this position are: 

 

  • First Aid/CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
