ABOUT CANNINGTON  

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a permanent position on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Townsville/Brisbane or DIDO from Mount Isa to Cannington.

As the Coordinator Operations Services, you will join a team that ensures the seamless provision of essential utilities and crucial functions for Cannington. You will play a pivotal role in driving safe and efficient execution of work, meeting performance standards, and overseeing the diverse contracts and Site Services team within this portfolio.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Proactively promote safety improvements and risk reduction, engaging the team to uphold a strong safety culture.
• Oversee and select high-impact service agreements critical to the operation.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and actual expenditure reporting for the above accountabilities.
• Support scheduling, work planning, and safe, productive execution of Site Services maintenance tasks.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Experience working in a similar role within the Mining, Construction or Heavy industry.
• In-depth safety knowledge and leadership
• Comprehensive knowledge of Mining Regulations.
• Contract management experience.
• SAP experience (highly desirable).
