ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Technology Business Analyst role is part of the Project Technology team and supports the company in collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to improve team performance and efficiency. Additionally, this role will assist with purchasing, budgeting, and gathering technical and business requirements to support the success of Technology projects. This role is based in Tucson, Arizona

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 
•    Support teams to track and measure KPIs 
•    Procurement – Submit purchase request in accordance with South32 guidelines.
•    Budgeting – Create budgets by looking at purchase data and anticipating future growth and needs.
•    Ensure gathering of technical requirements.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Manage vendor relationships to ensure successful project delivery.
•    Design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
•    Present key metrics in compelling ways to help stakeholders understand trends and insight with data.
•    Utilize like SQL and Power BI to prepare and transform data.
•    Build data models that effectively support business requirements.
•    Contribute to our safety culture through workplace interactions, hazard identification and visible field leadership.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 
•    Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, information technology, data management or engineering (or comparable industry experience and technical certifications); Or a combination of experience.
•    Three (3) - five (5) years' of experience providing implementation, training, and support in Digital Project Delivery.
•    Project management certification desirable.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other similar analytic and visualization tools.
•    Experience building reports and data visualization using tools such as Power BI or Google Data Studio/Looker.
•    Experience creating and managing purchase requests. 
•    Experience developing and revising budgets.
•    Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP system.
•    Excellent communication and ability to bridge between technical and non-technical perspectives.
•    Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
•    Strong attention to detail. 

•     Ability to Drive company vehicle and be covered under company insurance.
