ABOUT Hermosa    

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position based at the Hermosa Project site, near Patagonia, Arizona.

As a Specialist Network Infrastructure, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure. Your role is crucial in ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient communication systems to support mining operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust and scalable network solutions.
•    Configure and install network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
•    Administer and optimize network switches for performance and redundancy.
•    Implement and manage wireless networks to support mobile equipment and devices.
•    Implement measures for continuous improvement and optimization of network resources.
•    Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 
•    Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
•    Proven experience in networking, preferably in a mining or heavy industry context
•    5 years of experience in network support or a related role
•    Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are advantageous.
•    In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
•    Experience with network security measures and best practices.
