ABOUT HILLSIDE:

 

Our Hillside Aluminium smelter in Richards Bay produces high-quality, primary aluminium for the domestic and export markets.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As a Departmental Administrator Engineering & Treatment , you will be responsible for providing professional secretarial and administrative support to the Managers and their respective departments.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Diary / calendar management;
• Administration - Performing administrative tasks;
• Approved document control for the department;
• Maintain office equipment and supplies, budgets and other administrative duties as require;
• Manage the use of Departmental Credit / Purchasing cards and the reconciliation of expenses incurred;
• Arrange business travel (domestic & International), visa applications, and administer related expense management;
• Arrange social / team building activities i.e., venue, catering and required activities – input of purchase requisitions and payment follow-up;
• Coordinate and organize business meetings, conferences, including, meeting room bookings;
• Maintain professional telephone skills, etiquette, and company image.

 

ABOUT YOU:

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• A minimum of 5 years’ secretarial experience;
• Computer literacy in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) is essential;
• Knowledge of 1SAP R/2 would be advantageous;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment while maintaining composure under pressure;
• Well organized, detail oriented and have strong time management skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a strong sense of professionalism and integrity;
• Ability to utilize tact, diplomacy, discretion, and good judgement at all times;
• Maintain confidentiality at all times;
• Resourceful, solution oriented and a team player;
• Foster a positive and productive work environment;
• Enjoy challenging calendar management while prioritizing many competing requests.

 

Qualifications for this role are:

Secretarial National Advanced Certificate (2 years).
