ABOUT PERTH OFFICE
South32’s corporate office is based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a twelve-month fixed-term contract, Monday through Friday, based at our head office in Perth.
The Specialist HR Systems & Applications role will help maintain and support the systems that keep our HR operations running smoothly, encompassing SuccessFactors, SAP, case management platforms, and automated workflow systems.
Your primary focus will be ensuring that our HR technology operates reliably and meets the actual needs of our colleagues by troubleshooting issues and coordinating improvements.
You'll serve as a bridge between the people who use these systems daily and the technical teams who keep them running.
Reporting to Lead HR Systems & Applications, other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Provides day-to-day support for our HR systems, respond to system queries, helping teams solve technical issues and find better ways to use our platforms, working closely with different departments to make sure our systems meet their needs and run efficiently.
- Coordinates regular HR processes by working with our Rewards & Benefits and Culture & Capability teams. Ensures our core systems SuccessFactors is running smoothly and keeps everyone informed about system updates and changes.
- Supports improvement projects for our HR systems by gathering feedback, documenting what's needed, and working with technical teams to implement solutions. Helps keep projects on track and assists in identifying and solving any issues that come up
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical understanding of key SuccessFactors modules, including Recruitment, Onboarding, and Employee Central, with the ability to leverage these platforms to support organisational objectives.
- Maintains a growth-focused mindset with genuine motivation to expand both technical capabilities and leadership skills while actively sharing knowledge to uplift team performance.
- Proven ability to cultivate meaningful stakeholder relationships across cross-functional teams, with a natural aptitude for serving as a trusted resource for HR system support.
- Naturally curious and skilled in translating complex technical concepts into accessible language, facilitating seamless collaboration between technical and business teams.
- Enjoy working in a collaborative environment where you can work closely with both HR teams and technical experts to implement solutions that make a real difference.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, innovative solutions, and bi-annual SF release cycles. Skilled in independently managing incident resolution and change management processes while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders across the organisation.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Tertiary qualified in HR, Business, Technology, desirable
- SFX training preferred
