ABOUT OUR PERTH OFFICE

 

South32’s corporate office is based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, External Affairs, Sustainability Strategy, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk, Legal and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

 

This full-time, permanent position will be at our head office in Perth.

We understand and value the benefits of flexibility, and we operate a hybrid work model that allows for a mix of in-office and remote work arrangements, both in the office and from home.

As our Coordinator HRS Projects, you'll support initiatives across teams, remove obstacles and find better ways of working. Your role will bring teams together while questioning our current processes. You'll identify opportunities for improvement and transform them into tangible solutions, guiding projects from inception to completion.

 

Reporting to the Lead HR Services Global, other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

 

  • Work with HR Services teams to create clear process guides, keeping global standards while helping regions customise to their needs.
  • Manage projects from start to finish - gather requirements, analyse needs, implement changes, and keep everyone informed.
  • Help standardise HR Services processes, focus on work that supports our goals, and collect feedback from team members.
  • Work with specialists and process owners, including a review of governance  implications, and check with others when changes affect areas outside HR Services.

 

ABOUT YOU 

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

 

  • Bring valuable experience from HR, payroll, or tech roles, with a keen eye for detail that helps create reliable, polished work.
  • Communicate confidently through presentations, documents, and everyday conversations using various Microsoft tools.
  • Build meaningful connections with colleagues and partners, bringing people together even when working across different teams.
  • Juggle multiple projects simultaneously, keeping track of timelines and helping teams stay on schedule.
  • Approach problems with creativity and practical thinking, turning challenges into workable solutions that make sense for everyone.
  • Stay self-motivated and focused on results, bringing energy and commitment to seeing projects through to completion.

 

Qualifications for this position are: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field or proven relevant work history.
