ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position based at the Hermosa Project site near Patagonia, AZ.

As Administrator, Health, Safety & Security you will be responsible for contributing to the development, governance, and continuous improvement of Hermosa’s safety management standards, procedures, tools, and programs to enable the project to effectively manage safety risk.  This role provides administrative support to the project to ensure the HSS management system adhere to internal standards, regulatory, and operational requirements.  Ensure administrative support for the Health, Safety, and Security team and also oversee the administration requirements of the site.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

Industrial Hygiene:

• IH record keeping and management.
• Scheduling fit testing medical assessments
• Track and report monthly exposure hours, data collection and entry.

Regulatory

• MSHA citation tracking and record management.
• Maintain 5000-23 records.

Document Control & Management

• Maintain HSS policies, procedures, standards, permits and other related documents in DAP and SharePoint

• Maintain / build team SharePoint and file structure.
• Develop and maintain HSS system file structure.
• Etc.

ABOUT YOU 
•    Experience and knowledge of HSS policies, procedures, training programs
•    Strong organization and record keeping skills
•    Ability to work autonomously and strong prioritization skills
•    Skilled in use of Microsoft work, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel and risk management software

2 years relevant Administration experience.
