ABOUT MOZAL:

 

Mozal, SA is a benchmark for mega-projects in developing countries; located in Maputo Province, Mozal produces high-quality, primary aluminium for the domestic and export markets.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

This role is a permanent full-time position.

This role is designed to assist the operation with all improvement, projects, functional improvement and data reporting processes and activities..

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Regular Improvement reviews with departments and updating of actions;
• Execute projects through problem solving and improvement methodologies;
• Data analysis and benefits validation of projects at Mozal, update and governance of the Kainexus or similar improvement system for Mozal;
• 5S implementation and governance of process;
• Facilitate, assess, and prioritize the idea generation process;
• Understanding and implementation of the South32 Operating System (OS);
• Governance and oversight of performance reports including monthly/weekly COO reporting;
• Participation in technical reviews as and when required;
• Reporting of productivity indicators within the organization including the management systems that underpin the productivity measurements;
• Skills in Six Sigma and Lean will be required for problem solving and improvement projects;
• Modelling and defining the value stream mapping process;
• Facilitation of ICTC (In Control Then Capable) projects in the organization;
• Facilitation and Presentations;
• Organize facilitation sessions to achieve improvement outcomes;
• Prepare presentations and data analysis as part of improvement process.

 

ABOUT YOU:

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Minimum experience of 5 years in related areas;
• Show oral/written proficiency in the English language.

 

Qualifications for this role are:

Bachelors Degree in Technical or non-technical degree preferably in the engineering and or business management fields.
