Our Johannesburg office based in Melrose Arch serves as the company`s Functional Hub for the Southern African Operations which include Global Services, Technology and Enterprise Resource Planning Support Teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As a Specialist Cash Accounting, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice and executing transactional services for the areas of Cash Management activities as defined within the Global Business Services’ Partnership Agreement with its Customers.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Cash clearing activities including daily clearing and reconciliation of bank accounts, Marketing accounts receivable clearing, month end processes and preparing bank reconciliations;
• Cash accounting services for the South African region including Customer Foreign Currency (CFC) payments, receipts, funding (drawdowns), validating and/or providing the bank with the relevant information in accordance with the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) rules and regulations for all outward or cross border payments, Customs VAT activities and creating Online Payments to SARS;

• Banking and liaison requirements in support of Group Treasury;

• Resolve complex queries relating to the Corporate card expense process;
• Cash and Treasury governance, including participation in Internal and External Audits, Stewardship Reviews and SARB and Central Bank Audits;
• Perform peer review activities.

 

ABOUT YOU:

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Minimum 4 years experience in Finance;
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, legislative requirements and regulations;
• Knowledge of compliance and governance requirements.
 

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree/BTECH/National Diploma (3 years) in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Finance, or a similar discipline.
