Our South African Manganese mines are found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country’s Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese ore body.





The purpose of this role is to supervise a team of people (Employees & Contractors) within the relevant section by ensuring safe and cost-effective production at an operational team level.     


Serious contenders will have Grade 12 with mathematics together with a Government Opencast Blasting Certificate or Surface Rock Breaking Certificate with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Surface mine production of which 2 years should have been in a supervisory capacity;

Sound knowledge and understanding of HSE & labor legislation are essential;

Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency or Degree/ BTECH / National Diploma in Mining Engineering will be advantageous;

Supervisory Skills certificate is advantageous.


Execute the production and/or logistics activities according to the mining Schedule;

Work with physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by the Operation’s standards and operating procedures;

Ensure compliance to the Isometrix & 1SAP Work Management process for work execution and capture related transactional data in these systems;

Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices;

Review and update plans and equipment history and communicate status to appropriate parties;

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards.
