ABOUT MAMATWAN:

The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country’s Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our open-cut Mamatwan mine which started operating more than half a century ago.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As a Superintendent Production, you will be responsible to manage the production mining operations to meet departmental objectives.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

•Manage all mining operations and processes;
•Monitor daily, weekly, monthly achievement of targets;
•Provide input into the production plan;
•Sign-off and manage the execution of the Monthly Plans;
•Participate in the activities of the improvement team to deliver objectives and projects;
•Provide assistance in implementing and assuring project work meets quality requirements.

 

ABOUT YOU;

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

•Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Production & Mining environment of which at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity;
•Experience in opencast mining;
•Experience in mine planning is advantageous;
•Experience in in ore preparation is advantageous;
•Knowledge of SAP and MS packages .

 

Qualifications for this role are:

•Degree/ National Diploma Mining Engineering;
•Mine Managers Government Certificate of Competency is advantageous;
•Valid code 08 driver’s license.
