ABOUT HMM:

 

Hotazel Manganese Mines (HMM) is made up of two Manganese mines Mamatwan and Wessels. Both operations are located in the Kalahari Basin, home to 80 per cent of the world’s manganese reserves.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

This role is a permanent full-time position.

 

 

As a Specialist Digital Technology, you will be responsible to serve as the primary interface between the assigned operation or function and Digital Technology, for the overall responsibility of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, and relationship management. The role takes customer experience feedback and escalations back to the Digital Technology Manager, and in reverse, the role takes new technology changes and improvements back to the end users to upskill and drive take-up.  This role owns the service relationship with regards to the Operation/Function and Technology expectations for service and include incidents and change management, analysis, design, development, deployment, monitoring, innovation, support, maintenance, optimisation, end user engagement, knowledge share, contract and vendor management.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Manage local operation ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, service request) to ensure service outcomes are realized;
• Engagement between the operational Technology user community and Digital Technology;
• Manage the customer experience for the operation by gathering feedback and escalations and work with the wider Technology team to improve any gaps;
• Vendor management of key managed services vendor(s), specifically in the Service Management platform (weekly/monthly meetings, reporting and analysis of performance);
• Ensure effective and efficient delivery of technology services and solutions to the operation and take responsibility for the support of all Technology activities;
• Ensure adherence to service level requirements;
• Maintain professional relationship with all Technology stakeholders;
• Contribute to the development of the Operation Technology plan and roadmaps;
• Contribute to the fostering of a continuous improvement culture to ensure ongoing enhancement and optimisation of Technology capabilities and technical skills;
• Represent Digital Technology by participating in various governance structure at the operation level and globally.
 

ABOUT YOU:

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Experience in working in platforms on a global scale;
Project Management experience;
• Strong experience of working alongside vendors;
• Demonstrated technology platform and platform management experience.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma/BTECH in IT or Related field;
• Relevant Service Management / Technology certifications will be advantageous;
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification will be advantageous;
• TOGAF certification will be advantageous.
