ABOUT MAMATWAN:

The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country’s Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our open-cut Mamatwan mine which started operating more than half a century ago.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As an analyst laboratory , you will be responsible for to report analytical results to the processing plants, the safe storage and disposal of routine lab chemical waste and old samples, adherence to Laboratory standard operating procedures and QA/QC protocols and housekeeping.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Sample receiving and Logging on LIMS;

• XRF sample preparation (Pulverize, Press Pellet and fusion);

• Operate analytical equipment such as Pulverizer, Press machine, Fusion machine and XRF machine;

• Analysis of raw materials, process and finished products samples using applicable laboratory techniques;

• Verify analytical data;

• Timeous reporting of analytical data;

• Report Laboratory equipment breakdowns;

• Adhere to safety and GLP standards.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a laboratory;

• Knowledge of LIMS, Geobank and AMPLA.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and or Science;

• Valid drivers license advantageous.
