Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 15% of the world’s manganese ore production. ABOUT THE ROLE 

 

This role is a Permanent full-time position on a 4:3 roster (Monday-Thursday), FIFO from Darwin or Cairns. Residential option to live on Groote Eylandt considered.  

 

As the Construction Manager Structural Remediation, you will be responsible for leading structural remediation activities to ensure safe, timely and highquality execution that restores asset integrity and supports longterm operational reliability.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

 

  • Oversee project schedules, resource plans and risk controls
  • Direct multidisciplinary teams and external contractors
  • Manage engineering interfaces to secure timely technical support
  • Monitor performance, costs, risks and improvement opportunities

 

 

ABOUT YOU 

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

 

  • Leading diverse teams in highrisk operational environments
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships across technical and operational groups
  • Making sound decisions under pressure with a focus on safety and quality
  • Driving continuous improvement and fostering collaborative culture

 

Qualifications for this position are: 

 

  • Relevant engineering degree or recognised trade qualification
  • Project management qualification
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence
