ABOUT GEMCO
Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world’s manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 7:7 rotating dayshift / nightshift roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.
As the Concentrator Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising production activities at the Concentrator, overseeing fixed and mobile equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet safety, quality, and efficiency targets
- Provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring adherence to procedures and performance standards
- Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise processes to minimise downtime
- Collaborate with maintenance and support teams to improve plant reliability and operational efficiency
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Prior experience Supervising processing, beneficiation, and crushing operations
- Leading teams in an industrial setting, including performance and safety management
- Applying safety procedures, risk assessments, and hazard identification
- Problem-solving and driving business improvement initiatives to optimise plant operations
Qualifications for this position are:
- Current Drivers Licence
