ABOUT THE ROLE 

                                                                                                                            

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week roster. Our Worsley Refinery is a short drive from communities such as Collie (20 Minutes) & Bunbury (45 Minutes) which all offer an enviable country lifestyle. Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pristine beaches and world-famous wineries, you will live and work in one of the most beautiful regions of Western Australia and still be home each night. 

 

Candidates should ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie as there is no accommodation on site.

Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance you will be responsible for safely executing maintenance work on heavy mobile equipment, ensuring compliance with SAP processes and driving operational reliability.

Key deliverables for the role are, but aren’t limited to:

 

  • Completing work orders to schedule and following approved work instructions.
  • Recording accurate maintenance history in SAP for future reference.
  • Supporting root cause analysis and implementing solutions for reliability issues.
  • Scoping corrective work to enable effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Initiating updates to work procedures to maintain accuracy and relevance.
  • Reporting hazards promptly and participating in investigations and observations.

About You

  • Performing preventative maintenance and major component change-outs on heavy mobile equipment.
  • At least 12 months exposure on performing preventative maintenance and/or major component change outs on caterpillar, Komatsu or Hitachi SME
  • Experience using CAT, SIS and ET systems
  • Applying continuous improvement principles to reduce costs and enhance productivity.

Qualifications for this position:

 

  • Completion of a recognised Heavy Equipment Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship with trade certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Current C Class driver’s licence.

 

Desirable technical skills:

 

  • HR Class driver’s licence.
  • High-risk work licences for forklift, elevated work platform, dogging, overhead crane, and basic rigging.
  • Accredited Working at Height training.
