ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 40-hour, 4 day week - dayshift roster. Our Worsley Refinery is a short drive from communities such as Collie (20 Minutes) & Bunbury (45 Minutes) which all offer an enviable country lifestyle. Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pristine beaches and world-famous wineries, you will live and work in one of the most beautiful regions of Western Australia and still be home each night.
Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.
As the Technician Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for safely executing lubrication activities, maintenance tasks, in line with schedules, standards and work management processes to support reliable plant operations.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Recording accurate work history and updating data within SAP systems
- Contributing to root cause analysis and equipment reliability improvements
- Supporting planning processes through effective scoping of corrective work
- Identifying and improving work procedures to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Execute lubrication tasks in line with site standards, ensuring optimal equipment performance and reliability
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Previous experience in lubrication tasks and hydraulic experience is desirable
- Working collaboratively within inclusive, multidisciplinary teams
- Communicating clearly and respectfully across site-based environments
- Managing time and priorities to deliver consistent, high-quality work
- Applying a proactive approach to safety and wellbeing in the workplace
- Experience or willingness to develop skills in equipment lubrication and condition monitoring
- Solving practical problems and adapting to changing site conditions
- Contributing to continuous improvement and sharing ideas confidently
Qualifications for this position are:
- Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade certificate (Cert III in Mechanical Engineering – Fitter)
- Accredited Working in Confined Spaces training
- Current C class driver’s licence
- High Risk Work licences including Forklift, Elevated Work Platform and Basic Rigging
- Working at heights
