ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a Permanent position working 40hrs per week on a Monday to Thursday roster. This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie. 

Reporting to the HV Electrical Supervisor, your role will be to safely maintain and repair our high voltage assets across various sections of the Refinery, Mine, and Port Facility.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Maintenance, testing, and repair of high voltage circuit breakers, contactors and switchgear
• Execute scheduled inspections, testing, servicing and oil sampling of power transformers.
• Diagnose/repair HV and LV electrical assets safely and efficiently. 
• High Voltage protection relay programming, interrogation and testing/troubleshooting.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Proven experience in High Voltage electrical maintenance, particularly in large-scale operations.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to safety.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with SAP work processes, including work order execution and data management.

Qualifications for this position are: 

• WA “A” Grade Electrical License
• High Voltage Switching Certification with demonstrated experience in operation and maintenance of High Voltage equipment
• Current driver’s license
