ABOUT THE ROLE

 

This is a Permanent role on a 40 hours per week, day shift roster. Our Worsley Refinery is a short drive from communities such as Collie (20 Minutes) & Bunbury (45 Minutes) which all offer an enviable country lifestyle. Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pristine beaches and world-famous wineries, you will live and work in one of the most beautiful regions of Western Australia and still be home each night. 

 

Candidates should ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie as there is no accommodation on site.

 

As the Technician Electrical Instrument, you will be responsible for safely executing maintenance and refurbishment activities on electrical and instrumentation equipment to support reliable plant performance, maintenance excellence and operational continuity.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Complete planned and corrective maintenance activities in line with schedules, procedures and quality standards.
  • Contribute to equipment reliability through fault investigation, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, transactional data and master data within SAP.
  • Partner with planners, operations and maintenance teams to scope work and support efficient work execution.

 

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Maintaining electrical and instrumentation equipment within heavy industry, processing or manufacturing environments.
  • Diagnosing equipment issues and supporting practical, sustainable reliability improvements.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with operations, maintenance and contractor teams to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Managing competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail.
  • Communicating clearly, contributing ideas for improvement and supporting a positive, inclusive team culture.

 

Qualifications for this position are:

  • WA ‘A’ electrical license
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
  • Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency

 

 

Desirable

 

  • High voltage switching operator
  • High risk workers license – FL,WP
  • Certificate IV in Instrumentation
