ABOUT THE ROLE

 

This is a Permanent position working Monday to Friday on an 8‑hour day roster. This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie. 

As the Specialist Maintenance Technology, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and coordinating technology‑focused maintenance activities to ensure safe, planned and reliable delivery of work across the refinery.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Leading short‑term (1–4 week) planning and scheduling in line with operational priorities
  • Partnering with production, maintenance, technical teams and managed service providers to align work and outcomes
  • Coordinating labour requirements, including labour hire engagement and purchase requisitions
  • Using SAP and ServiceNow to manage notifications, tickets and maintenance performance

 

ABOUT YOU 

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

 

  • Coordinating maintenance or technology activities in mining or refinery environments
  • Building trusted, collaborative relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Providing clear guidance, prioritisation and support to operational teams
  • Balancing competing priorities while maintaining focus on safety and delivery
  • Using digital maintenance systems to plan, track and optimise work
  • Contributing to continuous improvement through thoughtful problem‑solving and feedback

 

Qualifications for this position are:  

 

  • Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Diploma or Trade Certificate
  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor certification
