ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 40 hours per week, flexible roster arrangements. The position is DIDO from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, just 15 minutes from Collie, 45 minutes from Bunbury, and close to other scenic communities. Alternatively, the role can be based at our corporate office in the heart of Perth CBD. Candidates based in Perth must be willing to commute to Collie a few times per month.

As the Specialist Heritage your role will be to ensure the identification, management, and compliance of cultural heritage risks and activities, supporting the Worsley Alumina operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Compiling activity notices, managing and tracking heritage surveys in consultation with Traditional Owner groups.
• Coordinating cultural heritage protection and site monitoring activities.
• Providing specialist heritage advice to Worsley operational and project teams.
• Supporting the Principal Heritage Advisor in due diligence assessments and consultations.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Strong experience in cultural heritage management and working with Traditional Owners.
• Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach, working within tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in spatial management software (Arc GIS) and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications for this position are: 

• Tertiary qualification specializing in archaeology/anthropology or related disciplines
