ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a Permanent role on a 42hr/wk Day Shift/Night Shift Continuous roster. Our Worsley Refinery is a short drive from communities such as Collie (20 Minutes) & Bunbury (45 Minutes) which all offer an enviable country lifestyle. Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pristine beaches and world-famous wineries, you will live and work in one of the most beautiful regions of Western Australia and still be home each night. 

Candidates should ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie as there is no accommodation on site.

As the Operator Power Systems, you will be responsible for safely operating power generation plant and equipment to deliver reliable production outcomes in line with site standards and schedules.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Completing handovers, reviewing asset condition and identifying gaps or risks
• Executing assigned tasks using SAP, ensuring hazards and controls are understood
• Performing routine checks, identifying emerging work and supporting safe work practices
• Recording and communicating work outcomes, incidents and improvement opportunities

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Experience working within power generation or heavy industrial environments
• A strong commitment to safety, with the confidence to speak up and take ownership
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams to achieve shared outcomes
• Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and respond to issues
• Clear communication skills, including accurate reporting and handovers
• A proactive, reliable approach with attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications for this position are:

• Advanced Boiler Operations High Risk Work Licence
• Turbine Operations High Risk Work Licence
• Holds, or is willing to work towards:
  • Isolation and hot work competency
  • Required CPKs and APKs relevant to the area

Desirable:

• Certificate III in Electricity Supply Industry (Operations)
