ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a day shift, Monday to Thursday roster, at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities. 

As the Maintenance Serviceperson, you will be responsible for performing wire rope maintenance on the overland conveyor and refurbish associated equipment

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Experience maintaining and repairing 57mm wire rope on the Overland Bauxite Conveyor or willing to learn an old age unique skill repairing 57mm wire rope
• Repairing and refurbishing of overland conveyor components such as pulleys, hubs, line gear
• Ability to be focused and perform repetitive tasks in a team environment
• Desire to learn the art of rope splicing - opportunity to be a lead splicer in a small team of specialised technicians.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Mining industry experience
• Extensive exposure to rope splicing, dogging, rigging and general conveyor maintenance forklift,
• Safe work at heights
• Be flexible with start times and finish times to meet production requirements, including major outages during the year requiring shift work.

Qualifications for this position are: 

• Dogman,
• HR licence
• Forklift licence
