ABOUT THE ROLE

 

This is a Permanent position working a Monday to Thursday roster, with 10‑hour days. This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

 

As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie. 

 

The purpose of Maintenance Coordinator is to provide technical expertise and oversee the maintenance activities of Electrical Department. They coordinate and level contracting resources for both capital and maintenance work. In addition, they ensure the optimal allocation of resources such that the required work at Worsley is completed in a coordinated manner and in compliance with the relevant safety and technical standards. 

 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Coordinating daily to weekly work priorities, resourcing and coverage across HV maintenance activities
  • Supporting shutdown planning, labour profiling and interface with planners, supervisors and operations
  • Managing contractor engagement, onboarding, support and commercial processes
  • Contributing to technical capability uplift through training, mentoring and continuous improvement

 

 

ABOUT YOU 

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

 

  • High‑voltage electrical maintenance in complex industrial, mining or refinery environments with the ability to perform high level switching activities
  • Coordinating people, resources and competing priorities across planned and unplanned work
  • Working collaboratively with operations, planning, engineering and contractor partners
  • Applying sound technical judgement while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance
  • Communicating clearly and respectfully with diverse teams across site and office settings
  • Supporting others through coaching, knowledge‑sharing and inclusive leadership behaviours

 

Qualifications for this position are:  

 

  • Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Diploma or Trade Certificate
