ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a Permanent role, 40 hours per week 9 day fortnight roster. Our Worsley Refinery is a short drive from communities such as Collie (20 Minutes) & Bunbury (45 Minutes) which all offer an enviable country lifestyle. Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pristine beaches and world-famous wineries, you will live and work in one of the most beautiful regions of Western Australia and still be home each night.
Candidates should ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie as there is no accommodation on site.
As the Draftsperson Senior Design, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of drafting and design services across capital and operational projects, ensuring high-quality outputs, effective drawing governance and alignment with technical standards, stakeholder requirements and industry best practice.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Managing drafting workloads, priorities and resource planning to support successful project delivery.
- Mentoring and developing drafting team members while providing technical guidance and support.
- Overseeing external drafting service providers, reviewing deliverables and driving continuous improvement.
- Maintaining drawing management systems, drafting standards and quality assurance processes through regular audits and reviews.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Extensive experience delivering drafting and design solutions within a brownfield industrial, resources or heavy industry environment.
- Leading, coaching and supporting drafting professionals to achieve high-quality outcomes and development goals.
- Managing multiple stakeholders, consultants and service providers while building collaborative working relationships.
- Developing drafting estimates, schedules and project priorities to meet business and project requirements.
- Applying strong problem-solving, critical thinking and continuous improvement skills to complex technical challenges.
- Communicating effectively across a diverse workforce, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build consensus respectfully.

Qualifications for this position are:
- Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or equivalent experience.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Expert Knowledge of Autodesk Drafting Suite including AutoCAD, Inventor, Autodesk Vault Professional, Autodesk Recap & Navisworks
- Experience with engineering change management, drafting standards and quality systems.
- SAP, SharePoint and Microsoft Office proficiency highly regarded.
- Knowledge of 12D Modelling, laser scanning and brownfield project delivery advantageous.
