ABOUT THE ROLE 

 

This role is a Permanent position on a continuous day and night shift roster, at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities. 

 

The Control Room Specialist will safely execute production activities from the Central Control Room and monitor the Refinery operations. This position is for the Precipitation and Hydrate Classification Area

 

Key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

 

  • Managing the process parameters, collaborating and coordinating with the Area Operational teams to achieve the safe daily production targets.
  • Collaborate with peers and colleagues to safely execute production tasks
  • Undertake/implement improvement project work in order to enhance the performance of the Central Control Room and the Refinery Operations
  • Will provide training and standardisation of performance across the shift teams (including Area Operations)

 

ABOUT YOU 

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

 

  • Demonstrated Control Room experience.
  • Alumina operational experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capable in analysing and interpreting complex data
  • Demonstrates sound judgement and the ability to work under pressure
  • Skilled in problem solving and fault finding

 

On the job training is provided to achieve the required role qualifications.
