This role is a Permanent position working on a 8 day fortnight (40 hours week) roster– DIDO to our Boddington Mine, located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour). Please note there is no Camp or Accommodation provided this role is offered DIDO only.
As the Trainer Assessor your role is to partner with the assigned business unit to manage effective learning and development outcomes for employees and contractors. Develop, deliver and continuously improve a leading-edge training program tailored for Worsley employees to enable them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the Worsley Training Department and act as a local SME (Subject Matter Expert) for allocated work areas and/or assigned activities in relation to the Worsley Training Scheme.
- Participate as an active member of the Worsley Trainer / Assessor consultative group and contribute constructively to all forums to align and maintain clear standards, systems, processes and practices.
- Contribute to ensuring records management, governance and compliance audits are completed regularly and actions to improve are recorded and closed out in Global 360.
- Coach and mentor operators and coaches in the delivery and assessment of line led training
- Provide coaching to enable employees to confidently complete on-line training programs.
- Deliver and assess individual and shared training programs, applying a broad range of training and assessment methods and styles to effectively address learning gaps (example inductions, Clearance to Work, fixed and mobile plant & equipment training and national units of competency).
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Desired competencies may include one or more of the below:
- Mobile Equipment
- Boddington Bauxite Mine Fixed Plant operations
- HRW licenses
- WAPL Clearance to Work
- Document control
- Demonstrated face-to-face training delivery skills or similar group based public speaking
- Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or ability to undertake).
- Prior experience working within a similar role in a mining/refining environment desired
