ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 42-hour dayshift / nightshift roster at our Boddington Bauxite Mine reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance.

Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.

As the Technician Maintenance Heavy Diesel, you will be responsible for maintenance work on equipment as per SAP processes, Maintenance schedules and work instructions as directed by the Supervisor Maintenance, always with safety in mind.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures
• Ensure compliance to the SAP process for work execution and capture related transactional data into the SAP system
• Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions as directed by the supervisor maintenance or superintendent maintenance
• Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

• At least 12 months exposure on performing preventative maintenance and/or major component change outs on caterpillar, Komatsu or Hitachi SME
• Experience using CAT, SIS and ET systems

Qualifications for this position are:  

• Successful completion of a Heavy Equipment Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship and holds a nationally recognised trade certification
• Current C class driver’s license

• Desirable: HR Class Driver’s License, High Risk Work License for forklift, High risk Elevated work platform, High Risk Dogman License, Overhead Crane, High Risk Basic rigging
