ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 42-hour dayshift roster, at our Boddington Bauxite
Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.
As the Technician Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for safely executing maintenance tasks within the operation, following SAP processes and work instructions to maintain equipment reliability and support production goals.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Completing work orders accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with SAP processes.
- Capturing maintenance history and transactional data for future reference and analysis.
- Providing input into root cause investigations and supporting corrective actions. Scoping work effectively to enable efficient planning and scheduling.
- Initiating updates to work procedures to keep them accurate and relevant.
- Reporting hazards promptly and participating in safety observations and investigations.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Delivering maintenance in large-scale industrial or refinery environments with a strong safety focus.
- Communicating clearly and confidently with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Using SAP or similar systems for work order processing and inventory management.
- Applying problem-solving skills to improve equipment reliability and support continuous improvement.
- SAP data entry, work order processing and warehouse functions knowledge
- 2 years’ experience in a relevant or equivalent role, with experience in the resource sector preferred.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade certificate, Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitter)
- Accredited Working in Confined Spaces Training.
- C class drivers license.
- High Risk Work License for Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, High Risk Basic Rigging
- Working at Heights – desirable
