ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a dayshift / nightshift roster, at our Boddington Bauxite Mine reporting to the Supervisor Mining Production.

Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.

As the Senior Mine Operator - Mining Production, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient execution of production activities while supporting and guiding mine operators through day-to-day leadership and mentoring.

 Key deliverables for the role are, but aren’t limited to:

• Operating equipment and completing tasks aligned with the production plan
• Supporting continuous improvement of procedures and work practices
• Promoting and maintaining a safe and respectful work environment
• Reporting incidents, hazards, and contributing to team development

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Operating Large Excavators Hitachi 2600, D11/D475 Dozers, Large Wheel Loaders, graders and other ancillary mining equipment.
• Leading and motivating a diverse work crew in a production environment
• Applying sound judgement under pressure while maintaining safety focus
• Promoting respectful workplace culture and challenging unsafe behaviours
• Supporting others’ learning through coaching, mentoring, and collaboration

Qualifications for this position are: 

• Hold a current C Class driving licence
• Demonstrated proficiency in both written and spoken English
• Consistently meets expected behavioural and safety standards
• Proven ability to contribute to team outcomes and display positive leadership behaviours
• Extensive hands-on experience in production mining, including detailed knowledge of mining activities and operation of production face digging equipment
