ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 42-hour per week dayshift / nightshift roster, at our Boddington Bauxite Mine reporting to the Supervisor Fixed Plant.

Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.

As the Operator Maintainer you will be responsible for executing safe, high‑quality fixed plant maintenance activities that support reliable production and effective work management.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Completing scheduled and corrective work in line with approved instructions and plans
• Supporting and guiding crews unfamiliar with fixed plant environments
• Contributing practical input to fault finding and root cause investigations
• Scoping follow‑up work to support efficient planning and scheduling
• Maintaining accurate work, materials and event records within SAP
• Actively participating in safety reporting, investigations and continuous improvement activities

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

• Hands‑on fixed plant maintenance within an operational environment
• Working safely with isolations, permits and high‑risk activities
• Communicating clearly and working collaboratively with diverse teams
• Applying initiative, problem‑solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications for this position are:  

• Exposure to fixed plant maintenance with a minimum experience of 1 year
• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency  
• Hold a current ‘C’ class driver’s license

Desirable:

• SAP work management experience & relevant high‑risk plant, access and driving competencies.
