ABOUT THE ROLE 

                                                                                                                 

This role is a Permanent position on a 42-hour per week dayshift / nightshift roster, at our Boddington Bauxite Mine reporting to the Coordinator Crisis & Emergency Management & Safety.

 

Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.

 

As the Emergency Services Officer, you will be responsible for delivering confident, timely and compassionate emergency response services that protect people, operations and the environment.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

 

  • Coordinating and guiding Emergency Response Teams during critical situations.
  • Maintaining readiness of emergency, fire and safety equipment across all sites.
  • Monitoring fire systems, responding to alarms and managing isolations safely.
  • Delivering engaging ERT training and keeping accurate training records.
  • Providing initial treatment for workplace and non‑work medical concerns and arranging safe transport to further care.
  • Conducting security patrols, supporting investigations and managing incident reporting.

 

 

ABOUT YOU

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

 

  • Applying sound judgement and calm decision‑making during fast‑moving situations.
  • Building positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicating with clarity, empathy and confidence in both routine and high‑pressure moments.
  • Managing competing priorities independently while maintaining attention to detail.

 

Qualifications for this position are:  

 

  • Certificate III in Public Safety, RII Emergency Response, or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Health Care.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessing.
  • UAFIR204B Respond to Wildfire.
  • HR licence required
  • PUAVEH001 Driving under operational conditions is highly advantageous, particularly for safe driving.
  • PMAWHS311 Lead Emergency teams will be highly regarded
  • Basic familiarity with SAP and Gallagher (security access system) is beneficial.
