ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) on a nine-day fortnight roster, based at our Boddington Bauxite Mine, reporting to the Manager Environment & Heritage.

As the Environmental Specialist - Biodiversity, you’ll be a trusted subject matter expert, supporting compliance with state and Commonwealth approvals, managing biodiversity data and risk, and helping shape practical, future‑focused biodiversity strategies. You’ll work closely with operations, approvals, planners and external specialists to deliver meaningful environmental outcomes that support both current operations and future approvals.

Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll bring strong experience in biodiversity or environmental management, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate complex ecological requirements into practical solutions. A background in ecology or environmental science, sound regulatory knowledge, and confidence working with stakeholders and consultants are essential.

Qualifications for this position are:  

• Tertiary qualifications in Ecology/Environmental Science/ Land Management or related disciplines
• Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of the business and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of key concepts, theories and practices related to the identification and effective control of environmental related risks
• 5 years’ plus experience within a similar role
