ABOUT THE ROLE
Worsley Alumina have a position for an Apprentice 3rd year Automotive Electrical to join our Boddington team. Applicants must have successfully completed their first and second year training requirements. This role is a two-year fixed-term contract. Successful applicants will start on a 4-day roster before transitioning to a shift roster.
Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.
Purpose
Your journey will be supported by a great crew and professional training team. You will continue to grow and develop your skills and experience that will lead you into a skilled tradesperson.
Accountabilities
- Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures.
- Represent South 32 and yourself in a professional manner both internally and externally, including involvement with TAFE and secondments.
- Follow all lawful instructions.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Demonstrated desire and/or experience in the chosen trade (s)
- Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency.
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s license or working towards one
- Satisfactory completion of first and second year Auto-Electrical TAFE units.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Ensure any documentation required to gain your trade qualification is completed accurately, on time and in the appropriate manner or required system.
- Progress in your Apprenticeship – This includes progressing with on the job learning and your TAFE off the job learning.
- Attend all scheduled mandatory TAFE training.
