ABOUT GEMCO  

Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 15% of the world's manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 4:3 Day shift roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.        

You will be responsible for partnering with operational teams to deliver financial insights, analysis, and reporting that enable confident decision-making and sustainable business performance across the GEMCO site.

 Key deliverables for the role are, but aren’t limited to:

• Driving accurate and timely reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles
• Translating data into clear insights that influence operational decisions
• Enhancing cost visibility and supporting value improvement initiatives
• Strengthening financial processes, tools, and Power BI reporting capability

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Building trusted partnerships across teams by communicating complex financial information in a clear, engaging, and practical way that supports informed decision-making.
• Influencing with empathy and confidence, guiding leaders towards strong financial discipline while fostering collaboration and shared accountability.
• Applying analytical and critical thinking to interpret data, identify trends, assess risks and opportunities, and translate insights into meaningful business outcomes.
• Championing continuous improvement, bringing curiosity, adaptability, and a solutions-focused mindset to refine processes and enhance performance.

Qualifications for this position are: 

•  CA/CPA, or equivalent
