ABOUT CANNINGTON
Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.
Flights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp—the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a permanent full-time position on an 8:6 day/night shift roster, FIFO from Brisbane and Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa.
As the Tool Storeperson, you will be responsible for providing essential sitewide tool and parts management support to ensure tools are available, serviceable, and safely maintained for maintenance tasks.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Issuing and returning tools within the tooling inventory system
- Managing tool stock and ensuring data accuracy
- Coordinating off-site tool repairs and testing
- Testing and tagging in-line with legal requirements
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Experience in trade, working alongside trade and/or warehousing environment within heavy industry
- Previous Tool store experience (highly regarded)
- Exposure to 1SAP (preferred), good computer skills and ability to manage administrative tasks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- A commitment to safety, with a high attention to detail
Qualifications for this position are:
- Class C Driver’s licence (manual)
- Electrical Test and Tag licence (National recognised restricted Electrical licence) or be willing to obtain
- Forklift HRWL or be willing to obtain
