ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position based at the Hermosa Project site, near Patagonia, Arizona.

As a Technology Support Specialist you will be responsible for providing frontline technical support to end-users, ensuring smooth hardware and software operation, enabling business users to fulfill their daily tasks without technical interruptions. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance for computer and software related issues.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 
•    Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application issues.
•    Resolve user-reported issues both remotely and on-site, as necessary.
•    Install, configure, and update software and hardware.
•    Maintain and troubleshoot devices including computers, printers, and phones.
•    Maintain an inventory of installations, licenses, and configurations.

ABOUT YOU 
•    Relevant Service Management / Technology certifications
•    Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification advantageous
•    1-3 years of experience in technical support, IT support, or a related role
•    Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Apple Devices
•    Proven knowledge of platform thinking
•    Technical skills and knowledge of service management practices and lifecycle
