Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

As Package Manager, Processing-Clark your role is to support the design and engineering for the Clark processing facilities and lead the procurement, construction and construction management for the Clark processing facilities. This role will initially focus on the Clark demo plant and will ultimately take on the Clark commercial plant package. 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 
•    Manages the procurement, construction and construction management contractors on site;
•    Oversee module fabrication off-site
•    Ensures that work is always executed in a safe manner; 
•    Reviews and approves project construction schedules with input from the Clark engineering manager;
•    Develop CAPEX and OPEX budget assumptions for the Processing department as it relates to studies associated the Clark deposit.
•    Assist with the preparation of Sourcing Strategies for major works packages as required;

ABOUT YOU 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Chemical/Process Engineering (or similar Engineering field) or Technical Degree (Construction or Similar) and appropriate Trade qualifications.  Masters degree would be considered an asset.  
•    5 to 15 years of experience in a similar role
•    Experience in the field of hydrometallurgy– Battery metal experiences will be considered an asset
•    Proven experience and knowledge of comminution, leaching and purification processes.
•    Experience with studies (Concept, PFS and FS) and stage gate processes is required.
•    Demonstration, modular plant and plant commissioning experience preferred
