ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a Monday to Friday roster, from Tucson, Arizona.
As the Lead, Project Technology Program Manager you will play a crucial role in   overseeing and coordinating the implementation of technology projects to enhance operational efficiency, safety and innovation within the mining environment. 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 
•    Lead the development and execution of technology programs aligned with the company’s strategic goals;
•    Work closely with operational teams to understand needs and ensure seamless technology implementation;
•    Develop and maintain project plans, monitor progress and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes;
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the feasibility of new applications ensuring they support the business goals and adhere to policies and standards.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Technology or related field;
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred;
•    Five (5) years’ experience in implementing technology solutions within the mining sector; 
•    Successful leadership of large-scale technology programs with demonstrated position impacts on operations;
•    Understanding of safety and compliance standards in the mining industry
