ABOUT THE ROLE
This permanent position will be held in our Singapore offices.
As Specialist Operations, you will execute and manage the resources, activities, information, and processes used to deliver a product from the South32 Marketing handover point to the point of sale, including storage at warehousing locations or delivery to the end customer receiving and/or reselling points.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Operations, other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Manages post-contract customer relationships, ensuring effective communication and fulfillment of contractual obligations between South32 and customers.
- Oversees credit analysis and contract management while coordinating shipping logistics and vessel safety compliance to maintain operational standards across the supply chain.
- Handles trade finance operations, including negotiations, billing management, and payment processing, while identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Coordinates with internal teams and stakeholders using SAP systems to maintain data accuracy, support Marketing initiatives, and strengthen South32's market position
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Combines extensive trade operations experience with trade finance expertise and UCP knowledge while maintaining strong communication across diverse global teams.
- Excels at managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, paying close attention to detail while adapting smoothly to changing circumstances.
- Demonstrates proficiency in key business tools, including SAP and Microsoft Office, with language abilities that enhance communication across international markets.
- Works effectively in team settings while maintaining independence, offering constructive input and solutions that improve processes and outcomes.
- Approaches challenges systematically, analysing situations thoroughly to develop practical solutions while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Maintains composure and focus under pressure, ensuring clear communication and appropriate escalation of issues when needed.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Tertiary qualifications in logistics/ supply chain management/business administration or similar or equivalent professional experience
