ABOUT HMM
Hotazel Manganese Mines (HMM) is made up of two Manganese mines Mamatwan and Wessels. Both operations are located in the Kalahari Basin, home to 80 per cent of the world’s manganese reserves.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is a permanent full-time position. As a Specialist Employee Relations, you will be to provide high quality and comprehensive employee relations advice and services to HMM and all relevant stakeholders, on the implementation of organizations Human Resources and employee relations strategy and ensures compliance with all appropriate legislation.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
•Provide ER support to the business (including disciplinary and grievance procedures, ER climate surveys, labour stakeholder relations, workplace forums and dispute resolution processes);
•Develop and maintain constructive and cordial relationships with employee representatives, and trade union representatives and leaders;
•Ensure proper application of the disciplinary and grievance procedures concerning fairness and consistency;
•Ensure employee awareness of ER procedures and practices, and updates when required;
•Provide advice on interpretation and implementation of labour legislation and in-house labour relations support;
•Provide advice by way of drafting opinion in matters that are not sufficiently complex to warrant a referral to legal council;
