ABOUT HMM:

Hotazel Manganese Mines (HMM) is made up of two Manganese mines Mamatwan and Wessels. Both operations are located in the Kalahari Basin, home to 80 per cent of the world’s manganese reserves.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

 

As a Manager Supply, you will be responsible to Provide leadership to the local supply team. This role will support operational safety, volume, cost and working capital targets through safe, efficient and effective warehouse management in line with procedures, S32 Values and HSE requirements.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

Manage allocated material risks and verify material risk critical controls are appropriately designed, deployed and effective;
Manage compliance to our legislative and internal governance requirements;
Manage and optimise the end to end site logistics chain to meet safety, volume and cost targets while operating within all relevant statutory and company policies;
Effectively manage critical stakeholder relationships to build and maintain robust open communication and deliver on business requirements collaboratively;
Identify and deliver improvement initiatives to optimise business processes, practices and systems to improve the overall performance of the function;
Build a capable and adaptive team, with a diverse and inclusive team culture;
Positively influence and shape team culture to ensure a safe, sustainable and disciplined approach to work;
Manage day to day activities in the warehouse to ensure delivery on time, owns the provision of safe and secure warehousing services to the Operations and manages Warehouse cost in line with budget;
Monitors key Supply metrics to ensure reliable and delivery of materials to site;
Validates that frameworks, policies and practices established for the sub-function are applied;
Manage inventory levels and guarantee stock availability;
Oversee and manages local sourcing in order to maximize value for the company;
Collaborate with Operations, Global Supply and Customer Services team;
Comply with internal and external audits, oversee supplier audits and actions to close the finding;
Provide savings to the company.

 

ABOUT YOU:

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

Min 7 years in a commercial/ Supply environment, Mining / Capital Intensive industry experience preferred;
Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrates an ability to influence, communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the business and maintain supplier relationships; possessing strong collaborative engagement skills and a diverse and inclusive team culture, capabilities of presenting to large groups of internal and external stakeholders at senior executive level;
Behavioural and Leadership Competencies – Accountability, Credibility, Action Orientation, Time Management, Communication, Collaboration, Judgement, Feedback and Recognition, High levels or Integrity and Organizational Awareness. Complex influencing & communication skills, Flexibility and Adaptability, Judgement, Cultural and global sensitivity, Safety leadership.
 

Qualifications for this role are:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, Commerce, Finance, Engineering or related disciplines.
